To better serve our customers, all livestock must have a scheduled appointment for processing. We are a small facility and must maintain a strict schedule.
Scheduling & Cancellations
We strongly recommend booking any appointments as soon as possible to guarantee your appointment.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your slaughter appointment, please notify The Cutting Barn at least
one week in advance.
Pick-Up Policy
Products must be picked up within five business days of processing. A storage fee will apply to orders left beyond this timeframe.
Livestock Requests for Mobile Slaughter
- Please do not feed livestock the evening prior to our arrival
- Tractor/hoist may be requested to be onsite
- Water (Not during winter), power source, and feed may be requested to be onsite
Beef Processing Notice
- All beef will be hung 10-14 days unless otherwise specified by customer
- Customers who want hides and offals (organs) etc. please request prior to dispatch
- Livestock that tend to be wild, we would ask them to be separated prior to arrival
Lamb & Goat Processing Notice
- We request the animals be dry as possible on the day of dispatch.

General Processing Policies
- The Cutting Barn reserves the right to reject livestock that is too wild to be handled safely and humanely.
- Completed cutting instructions are required on or before your scheduled appointment.
Failure to provide these instructions may result in receiving standard cuts.
- The Cutting Barn reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, if this is the case at the time of cancellation we will have other dates available.
Smoked Meat Policy
- Smoked meat is processed at the owner's risk and is not USDA inspected.
- All smoked meat and fresh-sliced bacon are stamped "Not for Sale."
Packaging & Labeling
- All finished product will be vacuum sealed and labeled (unless otherwise specified by the customer)
- The Cutting Barn is not responsible for broken cryovac packaging once products leave the facility.
- Cryovac packages labeled "Not for Sale" will incur an additional fee for printed labels.
